About
Bilston Neighbourhood Church (BNC) is a local fellowship, open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the Good News of the Kingdom of God and Jesus of Nazareth (humanity’s Lord and Saviour).
BNC is non-denominational, yet its origins stem from the Assemblies of God (AOG) and the Apostolic denominations. The ministry of BNC originates in the 1980s at Eve Lane Pentecostal Church (AOG) and then at Christian Life Centre (Apostolic). BNC holds to the teachings of the Bible and is attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit (aka Spirit of Truth) to guide and empower His people to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom (as declared by Jesus and the early Apostles).
BNC is made up of local believers who meet together at 3 pm every Sunday. BNC upholds the teachings of both the Old and New Testaments. We believe ALL scripture is inspired by God and that every disciple has the responsibility to read and engage with the scriptures daily and to test all things. We have Bible classes delivered to educate people about the Biblical texts, including an informed understanding of historical, cultural and ancient perspectives.
Our sessions are designed to give people a basic understanding of each book of the Bible and to enable people to fully grasp the overarching message of God’s story in history through the nation of Israel and to the ends of the earth – (Past, Present and Future).
Pastor Simon Bhardwaj, founder of BNC, has an apostolic ministry and is proactive in preaching the Word of God and building up leaders and congregations of other churches across the Black Country.
His son, Adam Bhardwaj has a Teaching ministry, helping disciples of Jesus to familiarise themselves with the scriptures, taking into consideration ancient perspectives and contemporary significance.
Adam has a Master's Degree in Kingdom Theology, completed with Westminster Theological College via Chester University. Both Pastor Simon and Adam are also representatives of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) UK for the Black Country, bringing leaders together concerning God’s plans for Israel and the role the church has to play.

Origins
BNC began in 1988 when Pastor Simon Bhardwaj and his wife Dawn Bhardwaj were sent as Missionaries to pioneer a local church. BNC was previously known as the Asian Evangelical Church, which initially reached, built and equipped disciples of Jesus from South Asian communities.
Over the years many people from diverse backgrounds have attended BNC to be built up in the love, truth and saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1992 BNC took on the derelict building St. Michael’s Mission Hall. In 1994, BNC opened its doors to the public and began the work of Bilston Resource Centre (BRC), initially set up to support people in employment and help communities improve their English language communication skills.
BRC was set up as an independent charity in 1999 and continues to support people with their employment, educational, training and well-being needs
(see more information on bilstonresourcecentre.com).
BNC has facilities to run training and activities for residents, which is managed by BRC. This venue is also used by the church for prayer, bible classes and fellowship events bringing leaders and congregations together.
