Vision

BNC’s vision is to ‘Reach’, ‘Build’ and ‘Equip’ disciples of Jesus to discover and fulfill God’s calling and purpose for their lives as they ‘Advance’ the good news of God’s Kingdom.

At BNC, we believe this means making room for the Holy Spirit to do His work in the lives of individuals and families. BNC follows the principle recorded in 1 Corinthians 3:7, “It is not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What is important is that God makes the seed grow.”

Our Beliefs

BNC is proactive with the teaching and preaching of the Scriptures. We believe ALL scripture is inspired by God and that every disciple has the responsibility to read the scriptures and test all things. We have Bible classes which are designed to give people a basic understanding of the Bible and to enable them to fully grasp the overarching message of God’s story in history. Our sessions help prepare people considering the academic study of Theology or starting a Bible College.

BNC holds to its doctrinal faith as communicated in the Biblical text, as follows:

  • All Scripture is inspired by God

  • God created Humanity as male and female, to rule and image God in creation, multiplying and filling the earth

  • Humanity has fallen out of its reason for existence into a state of collapse, ruin, sin and brokenness, which has fractured humanity’s relationship with God, with each other, with the earth and with how we take care of the world

  • God is One in essence and distinct in persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit

  • God has revealed Himself to humanity in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, entering the world in the flesh, fulfilling the Abrahamic Covenant of being the blessing to all nations

  • Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless/Holy life; was unjustly put to death by crucifixion, buried and then raised to life on the third day, fulfilling the scriptures

  • The resurrection of Jesus was a bodily resurrection, demonstrating that death is not the end and there is hope of resurrection to life with God for all who believe and trust in Him

  • Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, birthing New Life to everyone who calls upon the name of Jesus for their salvation. The Holy Spirit has been sent to empower His disciples to be effective witnesses

  • The Holy Spirit distributes practical, spiritual and ministry gifts to His people so that they are equipped to do His work, advancing the Kingdom and edifying each other

  • The Holy Spirit produces a Holy Character/ Character of Christ Jesus, in the life of a believer, producing the Fruit of the Spirit over time – being Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control

  • The Church has NOT replaced Israel. Israel is part of God’s divine plan. Jesus, born from this Nation, entered the world to be the blessing to all the families/nations of the world, through whom Gentiles (non-Jews) are grafted into the covenant promise God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

  • Jesus is coming back to earth, to restore the Kingdom of God to Israel, and thereby being seated on the everlasting throne of His ancestor David, to rule and reign on earth with fairness, justice and peace, fulfilling the scriptures

  • Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but by Him. Jesus commands everyone, everywhere, to repent/turn away from their sins, and turn to Him for salvation and eternal life – knowing the One True God and Jesus Christ sent to earth (John 17:3).
